"Upside Down"
Who's to say
What's impossible
Well they forgot
This world keeps spinning
And with each new day
I can feel a change in everything
And as the surface breaks reflections fade
But in some ways they remain the same
And as my mind begins to spread its wings
There's no stopping curiosity
I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I'll find the things they say just can't be found
I'll share this love I find with everyone
We'll sing and dance to Mother Nature's songs
I don't want this feeling to go away
Who's to say
I can't do everything
Well I can try
And as I roll along I begin to find
Things aren't always just what they seem
I want to turn the whole thing upside down
I'll find the things they say just can't be found
I'll share this love I find with everyone
We'll sing and dance to Mother Nature's songs
This world keeps spinning and there's no time to waste
Well it all keeps spinning spinning round and round and
Upside down
Who's to say what's impossible and can't be found
I don't want this feeling to go away
Please don't go away
Please don't go away
Please don't go away
Is this how it's supposed to be
Is this how it's supposed to be
ALL of those lyrics epitomize our life, and I could break it down for you, but I wont. I will just let you read our story and decide for yourself why that song fits our life with a child who happens to have Down syndrome.
That Is All.
I already liked that song, but I never really noticed the lyrics. Now I LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new blog too-well done!
Hi Julie...welcome to the wonderful world of blogging! :)
ReplyDeleteI read your post on speech therapy. I know where you are coming from. It's the only thing that scares me about Lily and Ds. She only says about 5 words and usually those require some coaxing. Her signing has exploded the last couple of months, but only a few are used to communicate. Most of them are mimicking.
Hopefully now that you are all settled in, things will move forward at a quick pace.
I'm adding you to my blogroll so I can keep up with what's going on with Mr. Kai!! Happy blogging...
I too can relate in many ways to that song. Excited to hear more Julie through your blog.
ReplyDeletesoooo, why aren't you following my blog? LOL
ReplyDeleteHi - I LOVE that Jack Johnson song too - my daughter Hannah favourite show was Curious George for ages and that song always made me think of her and smile...she turns everything 'upside down' so it is the 'right way up'.lol.
